rehabilitation

Rehabilitation is integrated into every treatment plan.  Once the pain of an injury or dysfunction dissipates, residual weakness and functional limitation to the injured tissues may still be present.  Additionally, other structures may be overcompensating or not activating properly, causing muscle imbalances and increasing the risk of re-injury or a new injury occurring.

The goal of rehabilitation is to address range of motion, strength, endurance, balance and proprioception, function and integration of movement patterns.

Each treatment plan is individualized to meet each patients personal goals whether it be recovering from an ankle sprain, returning to exercise post-partum, changing running gait, or preparing for surgery.  Compliance with your rehabilitation program allows for a speedy recovery and avoidance of injury re-aggravation.
