After taking a thorough history, performing a physical examination and establishing a diagnosis, a chiropractor will develop and carry out a comprehensive treatment plan. A typical treatment plan generally consists of spinal and joint manipulations or mobilization, soft tissue therapy and rehabilitative exercise. Low level laser therapy or acupuncture may also be used within a treatment plan to further enhance healing. Additionally, nutritional, dietary or lifestyle counselling may also be added to educate patients as well as improve their overall quality of life.
